Commercial transparency

How sponsored placement works

We believe the business model should be as visible as the mover profile. Here is the plain-language version.

01 · Eligibility

Verification comes before advertising.

A mover must satisfy our published verification standard before it can purchase a market placement. Paying does not create VLM Verified status, cure a failed check, or prevent later suspension or removal.

02 · Placement

One paid featured mover per defined market.

An eligible company may purchase the sole featured placement for an approved city, town cluster, or metro territory. The fee is fixed for the agreed placement period; it is not a per-lead fee, ranking auction, or commission on completed moves.

03 · Disclosure

Commercial relationships are labeled.

Active placements are identified as sponsored or participating partner placements. Partner destination links may also be marked as sponsored. Editorial explanations of our standard and local planning information are not changed simply because a company advertises.

04 · Consumer contact

Direct—not shared.

Consumers call or visit the displayed mover directly. We do not sell a consumer inquiry to multiple moving companies or trigger a round of competing sales calls. If a site form routes an inquiry, the intended recipient is identified before submission.
