Effective July 26, 2026. This policy explains the information Verified Local Movers may collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We may receive location searches, pages viewed, device and browser information, referral source, and approximate location derived from technical data. If you contact us or apply as a moving company, we also receive the information you submit, such as contact details, business identity, service area, credentials, and supporting documents.
How we use information
We use information to operate search, resolve locations, maintain profiles, review applications, communicate with users and partners, measure site performance, protect against abuse, meet legal obligations, and improve the directory.
No shared consumer leads
We do not sell consumer contact information or distribute one consumer inquiry to multiple moving companies. When you choose a listed mover's phone or website link, you contact that company directly. Information you then provide to the mover is governed by the mover's own privacy practices.
If we offer a form that routes a message to a mover, we identify the intended recipient before you submit it and do not turn that message into a shared lead.
Service providers, analytics, and cookies
We may use hosting, analytics, security, communications, and application-processing providers to perform services for us. These providers receive information only as reasonably necessary for their role. Cookies or similar technologies may remember preferences, measure traffic, and help secure the service. Browser controls can limit cookies, although some features may work less reliably.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including recordkeeping, dispute prevention, and legal compliance. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your personal information is handled. We may need to verify a request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.
Children and policy updates
The service is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the revised effective date here.
